Whew!

So, the reason I was not concentrating on my weight loss this past week was, I went for my annual mammogram in the beginning of February. My mother is a breast cancer survivor and I started getting the mammograms 15 years ago due to the family history. In the beginning of last week, the office called and said I needed to come back for additional films on one side. The technician at that time said it wasn't urgent and they needed a clearer view, etc. Of course, I took the earliest appointment I could get, which was on Valentine's Day.

Needless to say, it was worrisome - I had never been called back for more films before. At that point, I figured my weight loss was the least of my worries.

Happily, the radiologist called late today and said although there had been an area they were concerned about, the new films were clear and the area just turned out to be shadows of some sort. So now we can relax.

PS - Apparently the birds in the photo are called Boobies. It came up when I did a Google Image search for boobies. I realize, men, that I could have picked something you might have liked more, but I liked this one.

Jeffro - Thanks! Hope things are going well for you!

Admiral - Thanks, it was definitely a relief. And Yes, I think I've worked for some of them as well.

Glad to hear the news was good. I went through the same thing...on my very first mammogram. Kinda worried the crap out of me.

Best boobie picture ever!

YAY! I went through the same thing this past year. I had a mammogram because a cyst issue, they did both sides, the other side came up funky. They immediately did an ultrasound and more shots of the boob in question. Longest few hours of my life. Then two weeks later they said I had to get a follow-up ultrasound in six months. I realize that (especially at my age) they would have done a biopsy , but that six months really played with my head.

It's flat out scary.

I'm glad you are o.k. :)

Stacy - Thanks, Yes, it was a stressful week.

RT - Thanks as well. Wow, to have to go that long thinking there may be something wrong was probably pretty terrifying.

Aprilwine - thanks! I liked that pic too.
